William Flynn: 50 Years 50 Drawings
with essay by Jessica Saab
$38.00
I draw to see what will happen. My curiosity about the process constantly drives me to work from one drawing to another. The physical act of drawing and seeing is a thousand spontaneous decisions that reveal the unconscious meaning of the image created. I believe everything visual is drawn and can become a metaphor for personal response. A stripped chair can be a statement against war. The whirligig can be a circus defining the human condition. Pop-up books can reflect the visual energy and space that art books inspire. I love the dance between the marks, the paper, the energy, and the visual experience. Paul Klee said, “Drawing is making visual.”

Peter Thibeault: A Flaneur's Bricolage
Collage and Assemblage
$24.75
After working in an Art Library shortly after getting my BFA, I became a lifelong collector of printed ephemera. A short time later, I caught the flea market bug and started accumulating dimensional collectibles as well. When the pandemic hit, I began to seriously use my archives as raw materials for collage as I had been doing with the dimensional assemblage boxes for several years.

Maggie Stark: Playing on a Loop
$14.00
The paradox of time – that we perceive it as finite and yet boundless – is a recurring theme in Maggie Stark’s multimedia works. In "Playing on a Loop," her new installation of video projection and digital screens, movement and stasis are locked together in perpetual play.

Black Futures: How To See In Total Darkness
Dell M Hamilton, Lavaughn Jenkins, Jamal Thorne, Karmimadeebora McMillan, Jameel Radcliffe, Curated by Ari Montford
$15.50
The Boston-based artists presented in this exhibition, all poignantly represent a multitude of approaches that are informed by their lived experiences, their formal training as well as a broad range of discourses on how race, gender, social relations, history and culture substantively shape both figurative and abstract art. As such there are no easy answers when it comes to the production, reception and meaning of Black Futures.

Kenneth FitzGerald: Trypophilia
$16.50
These works directly came about from an offer of some cork borers with the question, “Is there anything you can do with these?” As a maker of things, I’ve always been concerned about generating more stuff when so much visual material is already in circulation. This combined with the idea of finding an artwork as opposed to creating it from zero, which is the essence of collage. Many components of these works are, on their own, uninteresting or aesthetically dubious. Repurposing them demonstrates that context may be the key aspect of making. Though there are some obscure visual plays on materials and punning going on, these works are meant to be pure visual indulgences.

Joe Caruso: Makers and Shakers
$19.99
A few years ago, I spent some time in Paris. One Sunday morning, I discovered that there was an outdoor flea market on the boulevard where I was staying. As I browsed through the various stalls, I discovered a small piece of African sculpture from Benin which I ended up buying. This piece renewed my interest in power figures and other art forms which enable man to connect with the spiritual world and the symbols embedded in those art forms.

Stacy and Len Thomas-Vickory: Uncivilized
$24.00
I quit the newscast more times than I can count in this six, seven year deluge of difficult news. How many years? Maybe it is a decade, maybe it has always been. It is time for a retreat to the woods, to the studio, to the ocean – somewhere I am not followed by the latest cacophony of assaults on the land, on the people, on and on and on. In the quiet, my thoughts peek back around the wall of my mind, one, two. - Stacy Thomas-Vickory
This is the work started just prior to lockdown. In that unprecedented moment, new concepts and experimentation started. Simply put, these drawings and lithographs are documenting what is going on in the world. - Len Thomas-Vickory

Catalina Viejo Lopez de Roda: Self Care
$22.00
Dealing with a persistent virus has instigated a new direction in my work, with the central theme being Self Care. A single woman lives in isolation in each of these drawings, paintings and dioramas. She inhabits wild environments and has developed a symbiotic relationship with the landscape. The female figures embody the wild woman archetype and reflect the landscape around them: arms open up like flowers, legs mirror the bends of the river, bodies twists like tree trunks. She is aware that she is a part of the seasons of life; birth, change, decay, regeneration.

I draw and paint sketches outdoors in the city, on the Neponset River, and in different places up and down the East Coast. These studies inspire ideas for the large studio paintings. Michael Eder is an artist and educator residing in Milton, MA.

Wood Play: Jared Abner + Steven Muller
$15.75

Ok, so there is this story I have told numerous times, Pandemic-related, installing a mailbox down the road for the first time ever for mail delivery in New Hampshire, summer home and summer studio location. Due to the Pandemic, I left Boston. The block of wood I was using to prevent the stake I was trying to drive into the ground from getting mangled, broke up into all these neat little pieces, lines. This was the beginning of my line drawings. Materials.
Jared Abner
Simply put, my work is about subtraction and addition. First, I subtract the raw material by turning, carving, and cutting away at it. Then, I put the pieces together again in a new way. I go through this process of creation through destruction, playing just like a little kid cutting something with a saw.

Rob Roy: Dispatches from America
$20.00
I make work that responds to images and events that span both American and world history. This way of looking started in my childhood and has continued into the present. I look at my use of subject matter (often current events, war, terrorism, conflict, religion, danger, science, sports, culture, capitalism, and globalization) as an open system, and in constant flux. It is also an opportunity to consider what has been lost, and what continues to resonate. It is also an opportunity to evaluate the relevance of what endures.
